All areas like OTC Derivatives, Repos and
Securities Lending and Borrowing come into mind when dealing with collateral
management and in recent years. This has been recognized as a very sensitive
area for several financial institutions. Whilst this popular tool has been
adopted by many European and US banks, Asia in particular, is one region where
collateral has not yet been used as a primary credit risk mitigation tool. The
need to develop on the market knowledge on how collateral works, recognize how
it helps reducing counterparty and market risk and to maximize regulatory
capital savings benefits is crucial at this point in time.
This sophisticated 2-day course will be
delivered by three key industry experts who will be covering the key issues of collateral
explained from an operational, risk and legal perspective. Important collateral
topics will be applied into relevant case studies, including focus on the ISDA
Credit Support Annex under English Law. Interaction from the participants will
be strongly encouraged throughout.
