About your expert trainer:

Edward Stock manages Artaois Ltd, a UK based management consultancy that utilises his 15 years experience in the UK energy business. Ed has worked in marketing, trading, operations and risk management, advising European energy companies on commercial aspects of marketing, trading and risk management. In addition to the consultancy business Ed is an Associate Course Director on a Global Energy MBA and lectures on Global Energy Markets.

Ed’s career started in sales before moving onto managing the back office for Elf

Business Energy and finally moving on to manage their UK marketing gas portfolio where he was responsible for the long term hedging and short term balancing. While in the portfolio management role, he worked closely with the trading office of Total utilising his knowledge of front office to the benefit of the UK marketing business.

In 2004, Ed moved to HydroWingas Ltd. Where he developed the operational side of the business, setting up pricing, risk and legal frameworks and developed the ETRM function including the scoping, purchase and implementation of the Billing and Trading software. Ed joined the Managing

Directors of WINGAS UK as Head of Trading and Operations to create the three man management team to develop the UK business strategy.

In September 2007, Ed was seconded to Germany to develop WINGAS GmbH‘s trading capabilities and advise on the risk management framework. He reviewed the trading strategy for the European multi hub, multi commodity trading business, identified value and opportunity in current supply and capacity contracts and advised on optimisation. Ed also undertook the valuation of storage assets and contracts and detailed strategy to manage future storage projects.

During 2008, Ed returned to the UK to work on the integration of WINGAS UK into the parent company and hand over responsibility of the finance, operations and trading functions to the Head Office in Germany.`
